Michael Smith is through to the semi-final at the PDC World Darts Championship after what was a dominant performance from the Premier League finalist.
He defeated Luke Humphries, one of the success stories of this tournament 5-1 to book a semi-final with Nathan Aspinall.
In terms of statistics it was a 103 averages with eight 180’s and a high checkout of 117 as he ended the run of ‘Cool Hand Luke’.
Humphries had chances to come back into it when he claimed his solitary set but Smith kept going and played well throughout to get through that portion of the match and streak away to a big win.
Despite Aspinall’s brilliance so far in the tournament, Smith will massively fancy his chances against the Stockport ace as he looks to reach his maiden World Championship final.
