An NHS trust is seeking local people’s views about what they think should be on a website to support people with joint and muscle pain to stay well in work.
Musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions – the term used for joint and muscle pain – are the second highest cause of staff sickness in the UK. Through a new initiative, North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust wants to better support people who have an MSK condition by giving them easy access to information, advice and resources to help make staying in or returning to work easier.
Ruth Sephton, Consultant Physiotherapist at North West Boroughs Healthcare, said “Getting ideas from our patients and members of the public is absolutely crucial to the development of our website and we want to make sure we are providing information and resources that people will find useful.
“We have kept the survey very short and simple, as we don’t want to steer people’s thinking around this – we just want to understand what matters to you so we can structure our content and develop our information to meet your needs.”
The survey will be open until Friday 15th March.
