NHS thanked with road markings outside hospitals

Thank you messages in tribute to our NHS heroes have been painted on roads leading to hospitals within St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospital Trust.

Two signs have been marked on both approaches to St Helens Hospital on Marshalls Cross Road, while another has been put down at the junction of Warrington Road and Holt Lane – just before Whiston Hospital – which falls under the St Helens highway network.

Contractors L&R have been carrying out road marking refreshing work in the borough on behalf of St Helens Council and have included the messages at no extra cost.

Further messages will be painted outside Newton Community Hospital and the Millennium Centre in St Helens town centre tomorrow morning (Friday 24 April).

The identical signs read ‘Thank You NHS’ – with a rainbow heart at the bottom – and are a timely addition as the nation prepares to take part in the weekly ‘clap for key workers’ event this evening (Thursday 23 April).
